Not receiving LinkedIn Verification SMS

For the past 2 days I am not getting any LinkedIn text . Contacted LinkedIn who mentioned the issue is with EE blocking them .

I am not able to log in, as an HR it is a massive problem. EE is also blocking verification calls from LinkedIn

hello for some reason mfa is no longer coming through as a text or call, any ideas and help please as unable to log into account on LinkedIn

Is this an issue you're facing with one service only, or are you having an issue with receiving OTP from other companies too?

Are you able to receive normal calls and text messages from friends and family?

Same issue here. Now been blocked out of LinkedIn due to this.

Is it only LinkedIn you're having this problem with? Have you tried to receive Verification texts/calls from any other services at all?

There's an element of "they would say that, wouldn't they?" about LinkedIn blaming other parties here, rather than their support addressing a potential underlying issue that could have led to SMS being blocked.

Does the website have any alternative means of verifying you? They should do.

Same issue here for the last two days - I'm receiving OTPs from other companies, just not LinkedIn. Ditto the "verify by phone call" doesn't generate a call either. I've been locked out of my account since Wednesday as a result.

Welcome to the EE Community.

As you're able to receive OTP from other services this would point to there not being an issue from EE.

I'd recommend getting back in touch with LinkedIn so they can investigate the cause of this and resolve the issue.

If EE has blocked the numbers that Linkedin use to send out the OTPs, then it very much would be an issue that is only fixable at EEs end

Linkedin would just point out that their OTPs are working fine on Vodafone etc

Not necessarily true - assuming that a "block" is the reason for SMS non-arrival, then resolution depends on the reason for a block.

EE have introduced anti-spam measures on inbound automated SMS in recent time, and LinkedIn isn't the first to have issues with bulk/automated-SMS since. There have been anecdotal comments about 3UK experiencing similar, and O2 have also deployed very similar technology.

In these scenarios, if the end-user (LinkedIn or their bulk wholesaler) has been advised of the reasons for the "block", it is their responsibility to make any necessary changes. Advising their CS to blame an individual network would be an easy alternative.

This could of course, all be total speculation and the issue may be something else.

*IF* the reason is EE blocking, then the responsibility for resolving depends on what the reason for the blocking is.

This still seems to be an issue as of August 2025, for me it happened when I was trying to log into a throwaway LinkedIn account and get past the phone verification step. I'm going to assume the intermediary that LinkedIn uses for SMS/phone verification is probably rather shoddy and that may be why EE aren't letting their texts through, I can receive other OTPs fine from EE and other companies though for reference.

If you are still having problems with certain texts coming through, in this case LinkedIn, I would recommend noting down the time and date of the text requests and getting in touch with our technical team. They will be able to investigate further and hopefully help sort it.
