not receiving OTP

My phone is no longer receiving messages with OTP from websites like PayPal etc. I have restarted my phone, reinserted my SIM card. I have been travelling but still have a UK phone number but for some reason it has suddenly stopped working.

Are either of you in the UK or are you travelling abroad?

If on pay as you go, when did you last make a chargeable call or text?

Hi Debbie, I am on PAYG and currently travelling. I have been using FaceTime and Whatsapp calls on WiFi so have not made a chargeable call for a month or so, is this a reason why as it just suddenly stopped this month.

Also I have not been able to receive calls, my parents have said they have called my number but I don't get any missed call notifications.

Are you able to receive texts from all other numbers?

Have you tried a manual network search on your phone? If you need any help doing this, please let me know what device you're using.

I have an iPhone XS, and how do you do a manual network search please?

Nobody really texts me anymore it's all WhatsApp!

Are you able to make outgoing calls or send text messages?

For a manual network search on an iPhone, go to - Settings > Mobile Data > Network Selection > Turn off Automatic

Hi Debbie,

Network selection does not come up on my phone in settings.

And no as mentioned above, I cannot make calls unless its via WhatsApp or FaceTime and can only send messages via these two apps as well.
