I just received an odd phone call from an "EE guide"

The number was 07973 100 619.

He asked if all was good with the service then I was sent the 4 digit pin he then asked and I gave him it.

I gave no personal information, bank details or anything like that. Just the 4 digit code.

Was this a genuine EE call?

As I said, it just felt kinda odd.

That is a genuine phone number used for outbound calls by the EE team.

I've had a check and this is a number we've used in the past, but it's always good to be vigilant when getting these sort of calls.
What was it they were calling about, and were you expecting to hear from us?

I wonder if you can point me in the right direction for a query sort of related to this. I am the EE account holder for our mobile phones (mine, husband and daughter's). I have checked my profile and everything on it which states everywhere I am the account holder / bill payer and matches me to my mobile number. However, whenever I make any changes (i.e. upgrade or possible leaving EE) my daughter keeps getting phone calls from EE Guideline. She doesn't answer because she's at work and it is driving her slightly crazy. Anyway to stop the calls at least and ensure they come to me?

Hi @SueC97

If you head over to the EE App, click on the profile icon at the top right, then to Personal Details and check which contact number it shows.
If it your daughters, you can edit it to yours 🙂

Great, thanks for confirming. Please give our Customer Care team a call on 150 who can check the marketing setting we have on your EE account, and they can update it to your number.
