Strange Call Claiming To Be EE - Is this genuine?

Two calls from 07973100601 the last when answered sounded to be in a call centre and claimed to be the EE loyalty team.

Can it be confirmed this is indeed EE calling (a handful of old posts suggest it may have been used in the past)?

Is there a list of mobile numbers from which EE call available?

If I am sent a PIN as part of the call from 150 would this suggest it is genuine? Immediately the call I also received an SMS from 249 asking how likely I would be to recommend EE.

All just seems a bit strange to receive such a call from a mobile number.

Can I confirm a number is a genuine number from which EE call? Posting the number directly gets my post marked as spam.

@srose8 a call from 07973100601 is genuine & also a text from 249 is also genuine 🙂

Why does EE call you tom a mobile phone number? Also if genuine... they would leave a note on the EE account? To say they tried to call?

Please can you also verify if calls from 07751556040 and 07821382779 are from EE also?

Random numbers calling are suspicious to me if they aren't directly stated on the EE contact list

Those are not numbers that I recognise as being from EE, so I'd recommend forwarding those numbers on to our phishing team, so that they can get those numbers investigated.

You can forward the details to their email, which is phishing@ee.co.uk or you can send a text with the details to 77726

That one is one of our numbers that would come up if someone has tried to call you from one of our contact centres.

You'll not be able to call that number back, as it is just an outbound number, but if they haven't left a message, you can call on 150 to see what the call was for.

You can check if a call is genuine and from us on our How Do We Contact You page.
Or if the call was from our Direct Partners at Phone numbers EE partners will call from.

If you're concerned about unsolicited contact from other companies, you can visit How to avoid and prevent scams including phishing, vishing and smishing for hints on how to block and prevent these.

You can also report the call to be investigated at Report a scam call | Help
Alternatively, text CALL followed by the number that called you, to 7726
