How much will I be charged for phoning someone in Kazakhstan?

If that person is roaming using a UK phone, then you'll be charged exactly the same as if they are in Kingston or Kent, for a call to a UK mobile. The user then picks up the incoming international leg.

If you are calling a Kazak number, then that is an international call, the rates vary between pay-monthly & PAYG, and also whether you have any international add-ons.

For calling a Kazakhstan no.: £4.21 / min on contract or £1.50 / min on PAYG.

International calls & texts to overseas nos. from UK can be rather expensive but EE has a add-on, free on PAYG or £2 pm on contract, that anyone, on PAYG or contract, can apply for to give these calls & texts at a fraction of the standard rates. That way they become 8p / min for landlines or 30p / min mobiles on contract or 15p / min for landlines or 20p / min mobiles on PAYG.
