Not receiving txt message from overseas bank - sent from +0000

My overseas (Swiss) bank allows me to register a recovery phone number. Unfortunately, the text sent to verify does not arrive on my UK phone. The bank reckons is because the sender is barred. I understand it comes from +00000. Any ideas how I can get around that?

Can you receive texts from other numbers including OTP's from other companies?

Not sure, as I have not encountered that before. Certainly haven't come
across an instance where they (sender) insist that messages are being sent
but not received.
