    <description>&lt;P&gt;Did you receive a welcome text message when you first arrived in China? That, and the SIM working abroad previously - would be good evidence of roaming being active.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Coverage problems downstream of that are usually local network issues in your host country which are often resolved by toggling flight mode or manually selecting alternative operators.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi everyone,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Currently, I am in China. The first time when I arrived in China, it still could be used. But this time, when I closed the flight mode, I got some signal but I couldn't receive any messages or calls,&amp;nbsp; and after 5 mins, my SIM card did not have any signal anymore :((&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Are the symptoms identical when you manually select each available Chinese network?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Are you on pay-monthly or PAYG?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I got CHN-UNICOM and CHINA TELECOM two options, the first one did not have any signal, and the second got a little bit of signal but then disappeared. :(((&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I got a 2 yrs-deal which is pay-monthly.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
