Phone suddenly not recognising my sim

This morning I had switched on my phone and noticed that I the top left hand corner it says no sim no service, I have tried removing the sim making sure that it's not bent, dirty and dusty but still no luck. Please can you help me I need the sim to be working as gotten hospital appointments to go to and awaiting results

Could you try restarting your phone? Are you able to try the SIM card in another phone to see if it's working?

I have managed to sort it now tried in another phone and was working, so
put it back in my phone and it started working again. Thank you anyway I
had done everything but didn't think to try in another phone, thank you

Did the sim still not work in the phone ? Just the other phone ? Did your service and sim come back on with the phone it was in 1st time ? Or just the second phone ? Ty 😊

The sim didn't work in another phone so rang up ee and they checked, and
it's just the sim and they have sent me out a new sim card. Hopefully I
will get it in the next few days.
