I am travelling to the UAE on Wednesday for 7 days and wanted to buy an EE add-on to give me data & a small amount of minutes whilst I am there. What is the best option for me please?

The answer depends whether you're on pay-monthly or PAYG, but you can view roaming costs for all countries at https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs

Regardless of the billing add-on you choose, remember to ensure roaming is enabled - this is crucial to having coverage abroad.

PAYG is auto-enabled on first use in the UK. Pay-monthly needs manually enabling by texting ROAMING to 150 from the UK.

In the end what I found was that it was cheaper and easier to get an esim for the country I was in. It worked out that I could get more for my money. please note though where I went inside not have a local phone number so used internet to get to anyone I needed to speak to.

The add is also good however you are very limited to data usage ect without it costing lots.
