Hi I have the same problem,

Zenfone 9, VOLTE switched on, plenty of data, rebooted phone and network reboot via EE, switched SIM trays, been through all the phone settings. Still no internet when on a call and the mobile data button in notification panel switches to "on call" when I am. Incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. Any ideas?

The post you replied to was over 3 years old, so yours has now been moved to a new thread.

The symptoms you describe are consistent with a non-VoLTE device that - with 3G switchoff - is now using 4G for data usage but 2G for calls.

I'm not familiar with that phone, but standard Android devices will show "VoLTE" next to the signal indicators to indicate the facility is active. Does yours?

Just to advise I found the problem.

SIM settings were set to 2,3,4 and 5G so changed it to 4 & 5 only 😀
