Hi, I am due to go abroad possibly for a year. I'm going to change to payg as suggested, is it strictly 30 days notice or up to for change to payg ? Thanks

Any contract cancellation needs at least 30days notice.

If you're within your minimum term, early termination charges will apply.

As per my previous post, any contract cancellation needs at least 30days notice - if there were any exceptions, I would have said so.

The only difference is what happens at the end of your notice period - the default would be complete disconnection. If you request a conversion to PAYG, you can continue using the same SIM.

the only thing you need to keep in mind as it is a UK mobile on a UK network it could fail into hibernation if outside the UK for 3 months and if it 6 months it would then get canceled as the network would not see it being used on it network

The reply from bradster above is not entirely accurate.

EE's hibernation policy requires a chargeable action at least once every 179 days, with a further 3 months grace before disconnection. A chargeable action can occur whilst roaming abroad.

6 & 9 months respectively.

Thanks, if I send a text occasionally I'm guessing that would keep the use on the network?
