I am on a monthly contract. If I was to use the £25 roaming arrangement, what do I need to text to 150, so that EE know which roaming arrangement I want to use?

I need to speak to someone at EE regarding aspects of roaming in the USA which I don't understand. Can anyone give me a phone number where I can actually get to speak to a human? I've tried 150, but it just keeps me going round in circles with various text messages! I just want to speak to someone!!

+448000798586

Are you on monthly contract or pay as you go?

If on contract did you enable roaming on your account?

If on pay as you go, roaming is automatically enabled, but you would need to make sure that you have enough credit and that the SIM card had first been used in the UK.

I'm on a monthly contract. I'm also on WhatsApp if that helps.

The last time I went to US (about 18 months ago) I remember I had some kind of a roaming pass, just for a month. I think it cost me £11, and I could use my phone as if I was at home for no extra charge (other than the £11).

What’s App is no use for ringing customer service, as far as I know, but Skype is free to ring an 0800 number, so the number I wrote in the previous post should work.

You can check here about roaming prices:

Otherwise you will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/countries/usa.

If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your account.

If you are on PAYG, make sure you have used your PAYG SIM to make a call or text in the UK.

Before leaving the UK please text ROAMING to 150 to ensure roaming is enabled on your account.

To purchase the pass you will need to text ROAMING PASS to 150.

When you return to the UK please text STOP ROAMING PASS to 150 to stop being billed further.
