EE MMS Email SMTP Not Working

Hello. I know this feature is probably useless now since no one uses it, but I’ve had an idea of sending an MMS message to an email and it works, however the recipient cannot reply to it as the SMTP server cannot be reached. I find this interesting as if the SMTP server can’t be reached then how can I send a text? That one fascinates me so just posting it here. (By the way I am using a third-party network provider called 1pmobile which uses EE’s network)

The recipient would need to reply to you via text message, this is not an active email address for incoming mail.
