Dialing problems

I have two numbers that when I dial them on my Android phone 'call ended' comes up immediately. one is to a newspaper delivery service and the other is to a friend. No problems with other calls. The latter is unlikely and the former also unlikely because I pay them monthly.

What is the possible cause, any advice would be gratefully accepted.

Have you been able to call these numbers previously?

Those symptoms are usually the outcome from an invalid number being dialled. Have you checked the number and also tried dialling it manually?

Re. my friend and his family, we only communicate 2/3 times a year, and the last time was fine.

With the news delivery firm, I have checked their No. on line and its the same as the one that I have, how can I check whether they have blocked my No. or have I accidentally put a block on their No.

I have just tried their No. now and got through !! although it was a recorded message saying the office is closed until 8am.

I will try again first thing in the morning, and will let you know.

I have been able to get through to day, just after 8am this morning, so that may be the answer.
