I would like to know if the is any way of accessing my SMS messages. Via WiFi Internet. I work of vessels and are out of cellular range for long periods and would like to access my SMS message.

@Cdritch If you are a contract customer and your device supports WiFi calling it will receive text messages other then that there is no way to receive texts when out of cellular range.

Hi,

Please could I ask for a clarification on your answer? I don't currently use EE, but have a PAYG sim on order to try it out. I currently use wifi calling on Vodafone with a samsung phone I bought direct from Samsung.

If I have wifi calling enabled, will I also receive sms messages via wifi as well, or is there more to it? you mention the pay monthly contract, but if it can work, would I also need a phone from EE or anything else?

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Yes, WiFi Calling also works for text messages.

We can only guarantee WiFi Calling support for handsets purchased direct from EE, but most new UK spec Samsung handsets will work.

WiFi Calling is only available to customers using pay monthly plans.

Hmm, doesn't work for me. Wifi calling is enabled but SMS messages do not arrive.
Certainly be useful to be able to see my SMS messages in myee app.
