Using phone in Japan

Hi,

I called customer services in order to have bundles added to my daughters phone for her trip to Japan.
I was told that I already had roaming on account so I added a text and call bundle. Data I was told would cost around £7 a day for 150mb.
My daughter has now arrived in Japan, She is unable to send texts or make calls?
Seems to me that EE aren't able to offer any basic level of phone usage in Japan?

Can anyone offer any advice please?

Do you know if your daughter has been able to connect to a Japanese mobile operator? It could be worth her doing a manual search to see if it works any better on another one.

You've mentioned confirming that your daughter had global roaming enabled - does her phone show a connection to any Japanese networks?

She'll need that in order to make/receive calls, send/receive texts or use mobile data.
