International - not able to use my contact phone

l have an EE monthly contract phone and l’m travelling in India. No matter what l do l can’t use my mobile except on WiFi. l had a text and data bundle added through EE before l travelled and it has not activated. l can’t even send TXT messages to EE. And even when their customer services are open in the UK, there is no option to email them (DOH).

Has your phone managed to connect to an Indian phone operator? Which text and data bundle did you select?

Thanks for your reply Chris.
Yes, Airtel, with a full five bars at 4G.
l don’t remember the package because it was during an EE phone call in
early November.
