Could you try restarting the phone please and giving it another try? Do you know if you can receive normal text messages on that number?

I have done that for days now, even put the sim in a different phone. Yes I can get calls and text too just WhatsApp verification code not going tru.

Have you tried deleting and re-downloading the app, @Nanaaaa?

Are you getting the 'call me' option from WhatsApp as an alternative to receiving the message?

I can receive both calls and texts but just the WhatsApp verificativo. I’ve been on phone with Ee customer service this morning and afternoon yet no solution, tried getting a code through my old number which worked but just the EE number..quite frustrating and disappointing.

Are WhatsApp giving you the 'call me' option instead of sending the message, @Nanaaaa? That may work better.

I have done both call and text and no solution for days even this morning. Seems I can’t use theEE sim then…it’s getting frustrating.

Does your phone number show correctly in your phone settings, @Nanaaaa?

Go to Settings > Phone > My Number.

I have done all that. Number is correct and o receive normal msgs and calls. I’ve changed my phone too. So it’s a problem with the sim and they already removed content blocking too.

I've found this information from a WhatsApp help page:

If you didn't receive the 6-digit code by SMS

Wait for the five-minute timer to finish counting down.
Don't edit your number during this time.
If the timer runs out before you receive the code, tap Call Me.
When you answer the call, an automated voice will announce the 6-digit code.

Do you receive the phone call from them?

It doesn’t go through at all. WhatsApp says cannot text or call your number please check your number and try again after an hour. It’s okay though I’ve tried all I can EE can’t help and WhatsApp can’t help too. Will just go back to use my 3 sim. Thanks anyway Chris.

I don’t have content lock on my sim but having the same issue. ɛ contact center asked me to contact Whatssap and I have done that but still no solution they say it’s a EE sim issue.
