Can't access EE WiFi (coverage boost)

I'm unable to access EE WiFi. On a monthly plan and activated the coverage boost add-on.

When I select EE WiFi network, it asks me to sign in and then redirects to log in page where the only options are for EE broadband customers.

When I add the network manually according to instructions here (https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/manage-use/using-phone-features/how-do-i-access-wifi-coverage-boost) the same thing happens. I'm using Android device.

What device are you using?

Are you in an EE WiFi area or on the underground when trying to connect?

I'm using a Sony Xperia with Android 12.

I was indoors with no/poor signal and found an EE WiFi hotspot in the area.

I think it was previously a BT wifi hotspot as the message on the login page said "BT hotspots are now EE hotspots" or something like that.

Did you previously have access to the BT WiFi hotspots with BT using a BT WiFi login?

The WiFi Coverage boost, won’t be available everywhere. Instead, they will only be available in the 150,000 hand-picked locations that we’ve chosen where our 4G/mobile network can be boosted.

No. But as it was called EE WiFi I assumed that it's included in the coverage boost. It is confusing, to say the least.

The WiFi Coverage Boost is different and will connect automatically on the the London Underground or, in 150,000 locations across the UK.

Sorry, we don't have a published list of our WiFi Coverage Boost locations.

Once setup, your phone will connect to them automatically in the background when available.

I too am unable to use EE WiFi Auto Boost. I went through procedure to add it to list of available networks and it doesn't add to list. As I live in Norfolk the London Underground wifi boost is not much of a pull especially as TfL is rolling out wifi on underground.

Why cannot BT and EE share the same wifi hotspots. The shops are going over to EE branding. London Underground wifi is not an attraction to majority of UK population. I keep seeing that I've got access to 150,000 hotspots on my account page. If only this was true.
