I have worldwide data enabled and have plenty of data left in my plan but am getting no connection, edge connection or sporadic periods of connection across Munich.

Below is the sms I received from 150:

Your phone is currently set up for use worldwide.

Great news, when in Germany you can use your plan's data allowance, this includes calls, voicemail and texts back to the UK at no extra cost.

Calls to countries outside the EU are £1.54 per min and texts 64p each. Picture messages are 83p and are not included in plan allowances.

Have you tried manually connecting to a different available network?

Could you try switching to 4G only in your network settings, just to see if it makes a difference, @SR69?

Just a few days ago in Germany also had only EDGE connectivity which was not useful for internet, maps etc. Really frustrating. This is something around roaming standards probably as I tried also with Lebara and I think I got the same EDGE connectivity only. I have not played enough with settings, shame there was no box to untick EDGE. Using Iphone 13 mini with latest software.
