topic Roaming in Mobile Services

Hi,

I have searched the posts on roaming but am still confused.

I am a pay monthly subscriber travelling to New Zealand.

Q1. I have been told adding a Roam Abroad Pass will enable me to use my plan minutes and texts to phone/text back to the UK and use my data allowance in NZ, but calls to NZ numbers whilst in NZ will be charged. Is this correct?

Q2. I was told that calls inside NZ to NZ numbers (even with the Roam Abroad Pass) will cost around £3.90, but the roaming charges say calls to numbers outside EE Europe zone cost £1.54 and texts 76p. Which is correct?

Q3. If I add the 30 minutes from anywhere package does that cover me for 30 minutes of phone calls to NZ numbers whilst in NZ?

Any help would be appreciated.

No, calls & texts to NZ & EU numbers whilst in NZ are included in your plan mins & texts.

Neither. The £3.60 / min is completely fictitious. Outside EU excludes the 5 countries where the Roam Abroad Pass is applicable. See 1. above.

Unnecessary & I'm not even sure the 30 minutes from anywhere package is valid in NZ.

Thanks so much for your prompt reply but you will have to excuse me if I'm still being a bit thick about this. Are you saying I don't need the Roam Abroad Pass and that it's only valid for 5 countries anyway? They don't seem to tell you that!

No, I was taking your Qs in the light of you having the Roam Abroad Pass as you stated in your OP.

The Roam Abroad Pass is valid for the EU & 5 non-EU countries, namely US, Canada, Mexico, NZ & Oz.
