Roaming in Hungary

I have a UK number. I paid £30 pay as you go plus £10 roaming. Cannot make a single call from here. It says, number barred. Cannot even call 150 ! Any idea how to sort this out ?

Welcome to the community,

Did you use your SIM card in the UK first before going to Hungary? SIM cards have to first be activated in the UK.

Have you tried a manual search for a network and did you receive the welcome text from EE in Hungary?

Yes, I have. I even called EE from Hungary via my Hungarian number.

No, not your Hungarian SIM. Did you use that EE PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad? EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network before they can be used abroad. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.
