I can’t txt roam as I only have sos and no signal as it’s a new phone bought in USA on holiday

Are you trying to activate roaming in the United States using a new phone?

If yes, did your EE SIM work OK previously?

Yes when I arrived it worked but new phone has an esim so I’m guessing that’s why. It seems to be just txts as 4g is letting me use the internet and apps

Have you activated an eSIM on your new phone whilst abroad?

If yes, we recommend doing this in the UK on the EE home network.

Hi, yes. It was all done in the Apple shop as I put my old phone in for part exchange. So I’m guessing when I get home I should do it then? It’s just I need to relog into some apps and can’t do this without a verification txt

Just texted myself from husbands phone and it’s fine and I can txt him from mine so it just seems to be the apps

Hi. Yes I will. I’ve just spoke to ee and they can’t activate while I’m out of the country so I need to do it when I’m back next week. A bit of a pain but most other things are ok
