Roaming Queries

Hi,

I'm on a pay monthly essential plan with 25gb data, and shortly I'll be visting the US and Canada.

As I understand it I can buy a 'Roam Further' pass which will allow me to use my data, sms, call allowances in these countries?

Also, from reading other posts I see it's necessary to check roaming is enabled on my account, as well as applying the pass. If roaming is not enabled, do I need to speak to EE to enable this?

So as long as roaming is enabled on my account, roaming turned on on my phone, and the pass applied, roaming should work abroad?

The only other query I have, if I'm running out of data whilst abroad and I buy a data add on, can the data add on also be used for roaming, providing I stay under the 50gb roaming limit?

Hi @Snowy101 / Lee,

To check whether you are set up to roam, text ROAMING to 150. if not then it will provide instructions on how to activate it.

The 'Roam Further' pass is now called 'Roaming Abroad'. To purchase it for £15/month, text ROAMING PASS to 150 or do it via My EE ( Menu > Plans, Smart Benefits & add-ons) .

If you run out of data, you can buy a standard data addon which can also be used for roaming if you have the roaming pass.

I can't follow your instructions as when in my ee account it doesn't offer me menu/smartbenefits/addons as an option
