Voicemail

My phone appears to be stuck on voicemail and I cannot receive calls as I don’t hear that someone is trying to ring me. Callers just get the message that I am not available but this is not true. Can anyone help me to get back to a normal ring tone on my phone? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the community,

Have you checked that you have not set your phone to divert all calls to voicemail?

Are you sure you have not put your phone in silent mode for calls?

Have you tried rebooting your phone?

The only other thing I can suggest is to back up your phone and then do a factory reset and see if that makes a difference, also, if you have another phone try putting the SIM card in it and see if that works ok.

Are you receiving calls when you're not already on a call? This would make the difference between being a call-waiting issue and/or a call divert one.

Hello Mark, I am a novice at using this phone. Where would I find the divert and silent options you mention in the phone? I am not aware that I might have done either of these things. If I have it is by mistake.

Divert can be found by following these steps:

Settings > Phone > Call forwarding.

What is the model of your iPhone?

Hello Katie, I went into the call forwarding area but it was not switched on so I don’t know why it was forwarding to voicemail in the first place! 🤷‍♂️Further ideas welcome.

Have you tried switching voicemail off?

You can do this by texting VM OFF to 150.

Just to thank KatieB and Mark, amongst others for your help. We went to the EE store and resolved the issue with the voicemail.Problem with the settings.All sorted. Thanks again.

People have been complaining that my phone is enter voicemail. I don't remember activating voicemail. Can someone help me disactivate the voicemail please?
