Someone is using my number to enter competitions, how do I prevent them using it

Hi, just wondered if anyone out there has noticed that their number is being used to enter competitions and how to stop it from happening?. thank you.

Hi, yes, I'm being charged for what EE say is a 'competition' however,
after calling the competition number called Mobi in London, it was not
available. I then spoke with EE complaints dept, who were very helpful,
they have put a stop on the caller so that they can't take anymore money
from my account.
