Ok On recent trips to Middle East countries I received texts from EE saying I could get certain amount of data for about £5-6 a day just by replying to text

There was always a problem with replying - continual problems

when I tried a different method of communication I was quoted over £57 a day!

absolute joke!!

No unfortunately it wasn't.
The text was £5.71 per day and would only be charged for days used. Nothing was mentioned regarding anything other than per day.
I had my son check his EE account on his mobile. He got exactly the same with the not possible to connect text.
My wife tried on her mobile, exactly the same
Sorry but it seems a bit co-incidental. Some may call a bit of a scam
However, just think about it. £5.71 per day multiplied by 7 equals £39.97. Why would they charge so much more for a week!

More data! 8 MB for 1 day but 110 MB for 7 days.

That's true James and that's how we got the £57. My argument is they pushed the £5.71 per day which could be accepted by replying to the text which nobody could accomplish

Didn't want more data the advertised 500 was enough. Plus I only wanted it for 2 days whilst in Dubai
Again. Why advertise something that is not achievable?
