I have no signal in NZ and I’m travelling for 3 weeks, I can’t even ring 150 as it won’t let me on Wi-Fi and can’t text the number as no signal at all.
I have tried erasing the network settings, updated my iPhone 14 pro max, reset it multiple times, setting the network to 4g only and selecting multiples networks to no avail.
I am furious as my partners phone is doing the exact same thing and we both have roaming on and last week we were in France and it was working.

One of two possibilities here.

1: You have only enabled EU-roaming, not full global roaming. Only a call to EE CS (from another phone, or a web-call app such as Skype) will resolve this.

2: There's an issue with the local network in NZ that you're connected to. Restarting your phone or manually selecting an alternative local network is the standard advice here.

If your partner's phone is doing the same, I'm minded to option 2 - something which EE have no direct control over.

The roam further pass is selected on both contracts so we don’t just have eu roaming.
we have already done option 2 and have tried various of the local networks, I had an issue before in spain last year so I know the standard advice which I did and it worked unfortunately this isn’t working this time and I have tried on multiple occasions.

The Roaming pass is just a billing add-on, and is separate from the roaming facility which enables your phone to access foreign networks.
