Does your phone have coverage indicators of a local network in Germany?

If you do, then roaming must be enabled and the next test is whether you can make/receive calls and send/receive text messages

If you don't, then it's likely you have a problem with your roaming facility which may not be active. In this case - are you on PAYG or pay-monthly?

Tried the three networks available. No luck. Called ee. They put me through to tech support. Had a 20 min conversation then was cut off and they didn’t call back

Hi Graham, sadly the EE roaming service isn’t very good in Germany I have problems all the time. Which network are you roaming with?

Hi I am jumping in please, I am in Bucharest and I also cannot connect.

Roaming is enabled but I am unable to connect to any network and have tried doing this manually.

Any further tips?

So do you get a connection from Telekom and Vodafone with just no data?

My problem is O2 is the only one that gives me data but the connection is so poor it automatically latches onto Vodafone.de which is the strongest network, it gives the full 5 signal bars in most cases but only an Edge connection which gives messaging only and no maps or internet. Really not good.

Last month I could use Telekom manually and get 5G and it was excellent but now I can't even connect to the network.

I've gone out and bought a 3 sim which offers 4G + on all 3 networks which is great, but I shouldn't have to do this...
