I think James was meaning were you in an area that was 4G coverage only at the time you were having an issue with your messages.

The EE Store will be able to help you with this and recommend any changes if necessary.

Make sure you're happy with any changes or new phones as the store does not have a cooling off period for returns.

Firstly, I want to ask a simple question but non of the items on the drop-down list is relevant. Why don't they have 'Other' as a possible topic? [In the "Select location" box above I wanted to put in 'Other']

Secondly, because I don't understand much about IT, I want ask about having 4G. Recently I was told the reason I couldn't receive a message was because my smartphone didn't have 4G. I want to be able to ask EE about this - how do I get to do this?

You may always receive a text (SMS) msg whatever 'G' you are on.

Qs on the EE mobile network may be posed under "Mobile Network Discussions".

If it doesn't support 4G, it would be a case of upgrading or purchasing a new phone.

James

Replying to James,
Thank you for your welcome and telling me the section name I ought to use.
Do you mean "Where are you ..." or "Were you in an area"
I'm not sure what type of phone I've got, except to say it is a smartphone. The make/model is Motorola One Action with Android 11.
I have discovered that there is an EE shop in the nearby city, about 20 miles away, and I'll make a point of getting there before too long.

Best wishes,
Peter
