The Roaming Abroad pass is just a billing add-on, it doesn't have any functional effect on your roaming ability.

The other countries you've mentioned are all EU-based, so there's a possibility you only have EU-roaming enabled and thus not "international roaming". That would explain the symptoms of your phone not connecting to any Australian network.

The only way of checking this when not able to connect to a network, is to contact EE CS to get your account permissions checked - either by calling from another working phone (+44 7953 966250) or a web-calling app such as Skype (+44 800 0798586)

If you do already have international roaming enabled, then you're doing the right thing by trying alternate local networks.

Got off flight in Sydney this morning, mobile will not connect to a mobile network - SOS only. Have tried automatic, no luck, then tried specific Aussie providers but still no luck. And I have the £10 per month Roaming Pass active. A week ago I was connecting to Spanish providers OK, then OK in Guernsey and UK all the last week. Any ideas? Bit stuck down here at the moment…

Hi @ChrisSurridge99

Welcome to the community.

What kind of phone are you using? If it was working abroad in other countries, the SIM must be set up for roaming.

Thanks - spot on. EE had activated the EU only add-on despite a Chat conversation 3 weeks ago specifically asking for the roaming Add-on to cover Australia - and have the transcript to prove. Very stressful, fir 48 hours in Sydney without a Mobile and having to do Car Hire, Hotels etc

have you managed to resolve this with EE? I currently have the same issue and need my UK number to re-activate my online banking on my phone
