Paired Watch and SIM only

I have an iPhone and an Apple Watch. The Watch is on a paired plan. I can upgrade on phone and want to go SIM only. Will this affect my watch? They upgrade at different times. I suppose I want to know if I switch my phone to SIM only now, will my watch just take from those allowances?

You'll be able to continue using your watch plan as normal after switching to SIM only.
