Roaming set up

I’m travelling to New York in a few weeks. Once I’ve bought the roaming pass, how do I activate it when I’m there? And do I need to make any setting changes, such as in Mobile Data Options?
I’m a monthly customer and have an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure roaming is enabled on your account.

The crucial factor is to enable international roaming on your phone, at account-level - by texting ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK. That is what allows your phone to connect to foreign networks, without which your billing add-on will be useless.

If you wish to use data you will need Data Roaming ON.
