Incorrect number showing when I text

Recently moved from BT to EE. Now when I send texts they are shown as coming from the number originally assigned to my new SIM and not from my actual number which has been transferred over.

Transfer was around 18 October. The phone is a Moto g10. Phone calls show the correct number.
My wife's number transferred at the same time and has the same issue - Moto g8

Are you using a text message app such as Watts App, or the one that is installed on the phones?

This only occurs with the native text facility. WattsApp sees the correct number.
The number that shows up is the one shown in the phone's settings which I presume is the original number assigned to the SIM.
