I have this exact same issue with the same phone. I'm in the UK and 4g just stopped working around 2pm today and keeps asking me to sign into the network. When I click on it, it takes me to my EE account trying to sell me more data even though I have unlimited with around 40gb left.

I can make calls and send texts while off WiFi but it will not let me access the 4g network.

Could you try closing all of your browser pages and restarting your phone please?
