I am using a samsung a22 dual sim, i have literally been on the phone to ee for over an hour today still couldnt get to the bottom of it…

Also the message comes from the default voicemail number rather than the person actually trying to reach me, my main concern is that i dont know who is trying to call me when i am not reachable.

Is this only happening in one location or everywhere?

Does it happen with every call, or just some contacts?

Have you activated 'do not disturb' in your settings?

It happens everywhere, and happens with every call i miss when i dont have signal or phone is switched off and I have checked that my do not disturb is switched off also…

Hi @Nshan95,

It's normal behaviour for callers to be forwarded to your Voicemail when you don't have signal or your phone is switched off.

Do all missed call alert texts show just the voicemail number? If it's only happens intermittently, in could be calls from withheld numbers.

Hi @Nshan95,

Can you try turning missed call alerts off, then back on again and let let me know if that resolves the issue?

To access your settings, select option 3 after calling your voicemail.

I have tried this already and it has not helped, alerts are still coming from the voicemail number

If this is only happening with calls where CLI is unavailable, I would be inclined towards a DND-setting on your phone being (at least partly) at fault.

EE's network wouldn't route calls any differently based on CLI, but your phone can potentially do so.

I am also having this issue and it has just come from no where. I was previously receiving full notifications telling me the number the call came from but now the texts just give the default voicemail number and I have no idea who actually called me. I have tried turning the notification on and off through voicemail settings but it has not helped. If we are all suddenly experiencing this then the likely hood is it is a fault with EE.

Hello, couple of days ago I have started to receive the missed call sms from VM number not from the number who's trying to call me. In that case I don't have VM and can't see who the caller is. I toggled on/off notifications in VM settings but still the same. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have 5 numbers on my ee contract and all are having this issue. Not good when they're used for business and you don't know who's called you! Is there a resolution yet? How do I report it so we get included in any updates?

I have a solution, i have changed my numbers over to o2 with a pac code where i can turn my missed call alerts on and off by simply dialling 1710, sorted 🙂 literally had enough no one knows anything about it and ive spent hours on the phone to ee… worst network ever.

We noticed it about a week or so ago. To be honest I'm not sure, I'd guess
it was a network wide thing but we're in South Wales.
