Enabling the roaming facility - and therefore the ability to use your phone abroad - is completely free.

What is chargeable, is making & receiving calls/texts, and using mobile data on foreign networks.

Costs for using your phone in the USA are available at https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/countries/usa - otherwise the £10/month "Roam Abroad" pass enables you to use your UK allowances within the USA.

Hi All

I am looking to move my number over to EE on a 12 month contract but am a little confused over the roaming.

From time to time I visit the USA and want to use data, not bother by calls or texts. I have been trying to find out what I would need to sign up to in order to do this.

From what I understand I will need to subscribe to roaming and pay £10 a month, is that correct? Is this every month or just the month I text in.

I also understand I would need to buy and add-on data package. I can't see to find any details on costs or amounts of data.

Any advise here would be great, thanks

Otherwise you will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/countries/usa .

If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure roaming is enabled on your account.
