Free £2 per day EU roaming

Can anyone explain the free £2 per day EU roaming that is shown in my plan add ons.

When we landed in Portugal I got a text message saying you’ll pay £2 per day to use your plan allowances. Just confused at the moment is it free or not. My old BT account was providing I did go outside of my plan allowances.

@Grant522 : The add-on itself is free to have. It gives you the right to use your UK allowances in the EU. For each day you use any of your allowances in the EU you will be charged £2.

If you don't take this add-on you will be charged roaming rates for every call & text you make. In most cases this will work out considerably dearer.

Does each day Start from time you begin use for 24hrs , or always start & end each ‘midnight to midnight’ regardless?
