Hi, do I need to do anything in order to be able to use the phone while in Spain?

Welcome to the community.

You need to make sure your phone is enabled for roaming and calling abroad in your My EE account.

When did you take out your plan? If it was before 7 July 2021, you will be able to use your allowances as you would in the UK at no extra cost.

If it was after 7 July 2021, it would cost £2 per day to use your allowances.

As it is part of EU, you may use your usual UK allowances there with up to 50 GB (contract) or 25 GB (PAYG) data per billing month if you have more. If on contract & your contract started after 07/07/2021 there'll be a £2 / day charge for using your UK allowances in EU or alternatively you may buy the Roam Abroad Pass for £10 / month.

If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to check roaming is enabled on your account.
