I am a pay-monthly customer, due to travel to Portugal. Was going to buy the £2 per day to use minutes / texts / data on my plan. However I have the £2 per day EU roaming as an “Add-on” showing in the EE app and it states “free”. Does that mean I have it as a perk?

Thanks for posting.

If you have not upgraded and changed your plan and contract since before 7 July 2021, you can use your allowance in the EU. This includes up to 50GB of data.

If you have upgraded or taken the contract after this date, you would be charged the £2 per day to use your allowance abroad, or you can purchase the Roam Abroad Pass.

Before you travel please check your My EE account to make sure roaming and call abroad is active.

The £2 add-on is free to obtain but you'll be charged £2 /day whenever you use any of your pack allowances there.

As it is part of EU, you may use your usual UK allowances there with up to 50 GB (contract) or 25 GB (PAYG) data per billing month if you have more. If on contract & your contract started after 07/07/2021 there'll be a £2 / day charge for using your UK allowances in EU or you may buy the Roam Abroad Pass for £10 / month.

If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to check roaming is enabled on your account.
