Hi, I will need my phone as I drive through France and Spain this summer. I am on a monthly contract. What would I need to do to ensure I can use my phone especially for the journey. Do I need to activate roaming? Add more data? I’m not sure how to minimise costs incurred. I will need to book hotels and be able to contact others especially if something went wrong. Any advice most gratefully received.

@Cn-l : As it is part of EU, you may use your usual UK allowances there with up to 50 GB (contract) or 25 GB (PAYG) data per billing month if you have more. If on contract & your contract started after 07/07/2021 there'll be a £2 / day charge for using your UK allowances in EU or you may buy the Roam Abroad Pass for £10 / month.

If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to check roaming is enabled on your account.
