Hi there i have the ee smart hub plus, i was wondering how you go about connecting the PS5 pro to wifi 6 as i can connect to the 2.4 ghz band and 5ghz band, however there is a option for 6 ghz on the PS5 pro but everytime i try connect to it to it a error comes up shown in the photos and yet he PS5 pro supports upto wifi 7.

My samsung phone connects to wifi 6 no problem, my router settings shows the router is in wifi 6 performence mode, maybe there is a setting i need to change on the smarthub plus router? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply so i would need the new ee hub to get wifi 6 and 7 on this console? I thought i had the 6ghz band as my phone shows the wifi symbol with 6 next to it and was told my hub has wifi 6 when it was sold to me on ee.

The 6Ghz band is used in WiFi7, and your PS5 is WiFi7 compatible.

If possible mate, use a wired Ethernet connection which will always be better for online gaming than any wireless connection.

Note, Wi-Fi 6E is not the same as Wi-Fi 6.

Not all Wi-Fi 7 hubs on the market support the 6GHz band. Wi-Fi 6E hubs do though (confused yet?).

The EE Smart Hub Plus is Wi-Fi 6 (not 6E) and therefore doesn't have a 6GHz band.

The EE Smart Hub Pro is Wi-Fi 7 and does have a 6GHz band.
