Xbox game pass with EE

Hey guys,

im currently paying for Xbox game pass ultimate via Microsoft, if I use the EE benefit do I need to then cancel my subscription with Microsoft and re-add with the EE one? How does it all work it’s kinda confusing

This is what our Game Pass Ultimate help page says:

If you’re currently subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate through EE, we’ll automatically cancel this if you choose it as an Inclusive Extra.

However, if you’re paying Microsoft directly, your existing pass will be upgraded to ‘Ultimate’. You can continue using this, and when it expires you’ll switch over to our Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and will no longer be charged by Microsoft.
