I received a digital credit card as a reward for joining EE and have not found a single retailer to accept this payment.
has anyone any advice how to spend this credit?

What sort of credit Card have EE sent you? In the past I've redeemed a Giftcloud code on their site for a gift voucher for places like Amazon or Nike.
