These hotspots will have the WiFi name EE WiFi-Auto. Connecting to one of these on an iPhone should be automatic, for an android it may require a couple of extra steps. You can find the steps on the link Michael posted.

Any other EE WiFi hotspots without that name, will belong to the EE public WiFi which is the one that will require you to login and purchase a voucher when you are connected.

Alex

Hi, I also have this issue. I have gotten a new plan from we and there is a WiFi boost add on in my plan, but checking the WiFi booster map and coming close to a WiFi booster does not automatically connect like it is supposed to.

I am also wondering if these WiFi boosters are the same as the ones that the website refers to, as the payed ones come up asking for purchase, trying to sign in makes the page refresh, with no progression to connection.

is this separate or not?
thanks

Thanks for coming to the community.

There are a couple of different options that you'll be seeing.

One is WiFi Coverage Boost, which will let you connect to over 150,000 WiFi hotspots and is available to EE mobile customers on a pay monthly contract or pay as you go.

The other is EE WiFi, which is free to New EE broadband customers, or access can be purchased by anyone to connect to hotspots.

Hi Michael,

thank you for responding, I believe that im referencing the WiFi coverage boost. It appears as an add-on on my plan, but I am unable to access it at all, when I am near a hotspot, I try to sign in and am unable to. Would this be different to EE WiFi? I can’t seem to find any information at all about this online, and if so, how may I be able to access the add on that I already have on my plan?

thank you
