Discovery+ sports online add-on for NON ee tv customers

I've just joined EE today for broadband & calls, so no EE TV, no EE SIM.

On purchasing the contract, there was an option to add discovery+ sports online add-on for £20, on a monthly rolling contract.

After checking info on the internet, it very much seemed that there would be no problem in adding this at a later date, so I just went for broadband + anytime calls.

I've spent the last few days playing about with the EE website and app, and thought that once my broadband + calls goes live, discovery+ sports add-on would appear in subscriptions, and possibly also in TV and/or sports.

I messaged EE but had no success, and it looks like the broadband team will be taking a look at it.

Does anybody know for sure what the story is? Thx!

As when you bought your BB you did not add the Discovery+ Sports add-on it won't appear in your Subscriptions. You need to order it now as an add-on to your package.

You may very well be correct, but given it's a monthly rolling contract, along with the connection between the BT Group and discovery+, and that there are other subscriptions available for purchase, it would seem unlikely to me - but so far you are shown to be correct.

And I wouldn't wish to be on a rolling monthly contract that I cannot stop and restart. But maybe you can do just that? Maybe it's just required to take out the add-on at outset.

Let's see what the BB team come back with tomorrow ...

That's what a rolling monthly contract is. You can stop it with 30-days notice whenever you wish & then take it up again

Actually, you can with discovery+.

I've subscribed to them on many occasions. You pay for a month, and can then unsubscribe anytime right up to the day before the next billing anniversary. Then you can have a gap, and then subscribe again.

Many monthly SIM deals works the same way.

It looks very much like discovery+ / TNT Sports is indeed coming as a standalone subscription. You can see the "coming soon" on the TNT Sports add-on:

So you only need 1 day notice, in other words.

Premier Sports, however, is a case where you need to give a month's notice, so you basically need to take out a minimum of 2 months! (unless one takes advantage of the 14-day cooling off period that's in the t&cs).

I'm effectively moving to a new contract from 25 Sept, so I'll see about adding discovery+ / TNT Sports from that date.

I thought you were saying that it wouldn't be possible to add.

It would appear that it is "coming soon" as a subscription add-on, as I was saying, but after looking around further on the EE app, I came across
