No Subscription Through EE

The 'No Subscription Through EE' has been mentioned a few times in this Community but I am not seeing a resolution. Has anyone managed to get around it.

My situation is that I have a contract for an unlimited EE SIM that is in a router. The 'extra' that came with this was Xbox Game pass. A few weeks ago my contract was up for renewal and the Xbox option wasn't there. So I rang EE CS and explained the situation. They suggested taking out the unlimited iphone offer and utilise the Apple Music 'extra' (I did explain that the SIM was in a router and that I would be accessing Apple Music on an android phone with an EE contract - they said that was not a problem). That way I could cancel Amazon Music and move to Apple Music and the money i saved I could continue the Xbox subscription.

Anyway I tried to setup the EE/Apple Music subscription on my android phone (NOT using the EE SIM that is linked to the Apple Music subscription). this failed and after a lengthy chat with EE CS they said I should try it with the EE SIM in the android phone.

This I did and disabled my e-sim on my android so it was just using the EE SIM with Apple Music assigned to it. Once again this failed with the No Subscription Through EE error. Another lengthy chat with EE only to be given an Apple support number as it was their problem. So I rang Apple and yet another lengthy chat resulted in them unable to ascertain the problem and, you've guessed it, they pointed me back to EE support.

I did notice that my Apple account is pointing to my android number so I have added the router EE SIM number to the trusted numbers but this ha snot resolved the issue.

Has anyone been able to resolve this, and if so, how please?

Its sorted.

Went through a few things with the EE CS chap and then as a last resort tried removing the extra and reinstating it. This had been tried on a previous occasion so wasn't expecting it to work.

But went through the setup again and this time my account linked with Apple Music.

Strange one.
