Netflix - where is Standard with NO adverts ?

I was going to migrate from BT to EE Broadband and TV, but I notice that Netflix standard with NO Adverts isn't available. It seems when on the base Entertainment package which includes Netflix Standard WITH adverts, you can only upgrade to Netflix Premium at £13.99. I am currently paying £4 extra for NO adverts with my BT . Anyone found a way round this ( other than stick with BT for now)? Seems a ripoff - either forcing you to watch adverts or paying for premium ( which I don't need !)

@60s_Gonzo You can choose standard via your account once you are setup with EE TV. Here’s what I get via my account

select basic when you’re ordering and then when you’ve got it, change it to standard.

@Chris_B That's interesting - thank you. After trying to migrate to EE broadband on the website ( and only getting Premium offered), I spent some time on Chat with a EE rep who said only Premium was available as an upgrade.

I can't help but notice though, that premium is showing at £11 for you. Website and chat guy said it would be £13.99. May I ask if you migrated to EE from BT ( or someone else) and when ? I noticed there were changes for New customers back in August and am wondering if there are different offers for new EE. Interestingly, the EE guy blamed Netflix, and when I contacted them, they said it was EE !

Exactly! I’m in the same situation. Currently sitting in the EE shop and discovered this massive hole in their offering. No point in switching from my out of contract BT setup with broadband and entertainment + £4 for no ads.

Yup. Still the same offer for me. I think I'll just stay on the BT one until I'm out of contract and look around a bit more at the end.

I 'm also sure when I first looked back in December they were offering a free extra mini-box for another room, but that seems to have been replaced by a £5pm extra charge now.

The only other thing that attracted me at the time was a promised higher upload speed , which I wondered was real, as I am on copper ( very rural) , but I notice now the offer has been updated to what I currently get on BT (1Mb). I'd treat anything you read on the EE shop with suspicion and investigate.

No reason to switch for me to switch either.
