EE have removed inclusive extras from data only plans?

I took out an extra pay monthly phone sim in 2023 for my iPad and it didn’t work properly, so I got that cancelled and changed to a data sim which came with an inclusive extra and it’s worked fine. Looking at the website currently for data sims, it’s a mess. There’s a header on inclusive extras, but when you scroll down to contracts on offer there’s no mention of them in any deal. There’s no all rounder plans, there’s symbols (dials and an A?) that mean absolutely nothing to me and the descriptions of each contract are very vague in comparison to the phone contracts, as there’s no mention about speed caps, sharing or roaming. So it seems EE don’t seem to offer inclusive extras for data sims anymore, so would a phone sim work with an iPad now?

I’ve seen that they offer pay monthly all rounder plans with inclusive extras if you buy an iPad through EE. They don’t even offer phone sim deals with multiple inclusive add ons anymore, so I can’t even use that as a work around, as I need 2 add ons in total. My phone sim is currently up for renewal, but my data sim isn’t until August, don’t want to renew my phone sim with EE now unless someone can confirm that their phone sims will work with an iPad, as I currently share data regularly with my iPad and find value in the plan with the inclusive extra.

Hi Schockwave, thanks for the reply. I’ve spoken to 2 different people at EE today both with differing opinions! One member thinks a phone sim will work with an iPad and the other thinks it wouldn’t and she was just as baffled as me that they were selling iPads with all rounder data sims, but not offering all rounder data sim only plans. Not very reassuring, so I came here for help.

When looking over our data SIM options it does look like it's just No Frills, Essentials and Essentials Plus currently available.

Which inclusive add-on is it you were wanting to go for if you had a new SIM?

If you already have a phone SIM, you could try testing this in your iPad too.
