Netflix plan upgrade costs through EE tv

EE just mistakenly downgraded my Netflix plan. They couldn't correct it, so I did it via Netflix's own site. Netflix told me £3 a month would be added each month to my EE bill for this upgrade. I confirmed to go ahead. Then EE emailed me to confirm the change and said its £4 a month. Why does EE add an extra £1 a month on?

What is the extra ciost then? They want to add £7 to my bill!

Why am I being charged £7 extra for Netflix. They added adverts so I had to upgrade to standard. EE note says that this will add £3 to my bill only , not £7!!

Welcome to the EE Community

Do you have Netflix as an inclusive extra on your mobile plan? Currently you get Netflix Standard with ads as the extra, you can upgrade it to Standard for £7 a month extra or Premium for £13 a month extra.

Previously the inclusive extra for Netflix was the Basic plan, it did cost £3 a month to upgrade from Basic to Standard. But the Basic plan has since been discontinued by Netflix, meaning it is Standard with Ads you now get and upgrade from.

You can just have the Standard with Ads tier for no additional cost if you did not wish to continue with the £7 a month extra for Standard.

Where is it you are seeing it mention the £3 a month extra? Is it on the website or elsewhere? It will be referring to a Basic to Standard upgrade as mentioned which would be now out of date.
